THE Archbishop of York is to take a two-day tour of South Yorkshire next month.
The bishop, Dr John Sentamu, will be in the region on May 18 and 19. He plans to take part in a selection of events including the Cutlers’ Feast at the Cutlers’ Hall in Sheffield as well as paying a visit Doncaster Young Offenders’ Institute.
He will hold a question and answer session at Elsecar Heritage Centre in Barnsley on May 18 at 7.30pm and plans to pay a visit to Forgemasters steelworks in Sheffield the following day.
The bishop will also meet homeless people at Sheffield Cathedral’s Archer Project in the city centre.
