Dave T, of Wrexham, says: “I attended a meeting with colleagues arriving at lunchtime on Wednesday 20th January at lunchtime. Absolutely fantastic welcome at reception, offered a choice of rooms, checkin complete, to the room, excellent quality room and service. Freshly prepared biscuits, in the room. The facilities we had access to were simply first rate.”

Ross T, of Rossendale, says: “Stayed here for one night on business. Great location just on the edge of the Peak District but still close enough to Chesterfield. For me this is 3 star bordering on 4 star hotel. Very quiet nice rooms, good bed and nice bathroom. Food was very good and the staff were polite. Would certainly stay here again.”

9. Abbeydale Hotel, Chesterfield

Sue Y, of Florence, Italy, says: “I have recently stayed at the Abbeydale Hotel in Chesterfield. Else and Finn went out of their way to make me feel welcome, even going the extra mile and making me a light supper when their restaurant was closed.
