A reality TV show focusing on the work of South Yorkshire Police will tonight focus on the days and weeks last year when coronavirus first struck the county.

Channel 4 show 999: What’s Your Emergency?, which follows police officers as they deal with a wide variety of crimes, will roll back to when the first nationwide lockdown was brought in.

Publicity for tonight’s show, which airs at 9pm, describes the ‘strange new world’ of Covid-19 – and an increase in ‘erratic behaviour’ from members of the public.
