Three people in hospital with ‘life-threatening injuries’ after three-car Rotherham crash

An appeal has been issued after three people suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash in Rotherham this afternoon.

At about 1.20pm, a silver Ford Focus was travelling along the A57 Sheffield Road, Todwick, towards Todwick crossroads.

Near to the access driveway of Burne Farm, the Focus was involved in a collision with a white Ford Focus before colliding with a silver Mazda 6.

A 67-year-old man driving the silver Focus suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.

A 73-year-old man driving the white Focus, and a 66-year-old female passenger, both suffered life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to call 101 quoting incident 493 of September 2.
