Three pensioners hurt - one seriously - after car crashes into parked vehicle

Three pensioners have been hurt - one seriously - after the car they were in crashed into a parked vehicle.

The Suzuki Swift they were in hit a parked car on King Street, Hoyland at around 2pm on Friday. The driver, a 75-year-old woman from Thurnscoe, was airlifted to hospital with serious leg injuries.

Two passengers, a 71-year-old woman and 73-year-old man, suffered minor injuries.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said: “Were you in the area at the time? Did you see the collision or the Suzuki Swift prior to the collision?

“Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 505 of April 1 2016.”
