Three hurt in South Yorkshire crash

THREE people were injured including one seriously in a three-car pile-up.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which happened on Aston Way, Aston, on Monday, at about 5pm,

A 23-year-old woman was driving a black Vauxhall Corsa, which struck the rear of a silver Rover 45 stationary in traffic near the junction with Worksop Road.

The Rover then went into the back of a silver Ford Ka.

The driver of the Rover was taken to hospital with serious injuries, suspected to be a fractured pelvis and leg.

The Corsa driver and 27-year-old woman driving the Ka sustained minor injuries.
