Sheffield customers don't have much time left to make use of the WH Smith store on Fargate.
The world's oldest retail chain will be closing their Sheffield Fargate store for refurbishment following a £49m company investment last year.
Customers only have up until Tuesday, January 30 to make the most of the Fargate store before it begins its improvement programme.
A message has been placed outside the popular store warning customers of its impending temporary closure and where their nearest stores can be found.
However, there is no definitive date given for when the store will reopen.
The message read: "Whilst we undertake improvement work to your WH Smith, we will be closing this store omn Tuesday, January 30.
"We will reopen later in the year but in the meantime, your nearest WH Smith stores are at Meadowhall or Crystal peaks.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
WH Smith celebrated its 225th anniversary last year and decided to invest in its high street arm; refurbishing shops and putting in Post Offices.
Customers can now make the four-mile trip to Meadowhall's WH Smith or the seven-mile trip to Crystal Peaks.
