This is the name of the new Sheffield micropub which has been revealed exclusively to The Star

The venue, which will officially open today, will offer customers small batch and locally brewed beer from independent suppliers wherever possible.

Arthur Jackson,  the owner and landlord of the venue, said: 'The name, Two Sheds, is apt because we aren't just a micropub, it's an off-licence too. It's both a beerhouse and a bottle shop.

'It's meant to be a bit scruffy, like a shed, with a wooden floor, and desks, stools and chairs that came from an old school.

'I'd describe the place as a coffee house vibe with beer - that's what we are aiming for.

'I want it to be a place where you could go for a coffee but wouldn't get looked at funny for having a beer, and the opposite.'

There are four keg lines and four cask lines of beer on offer, propped up by over 30 different products in the fridge which are available for takeout. There is also a limited range of wines and spirits available.

The pre-loved vibe of the micropub is evident to the customer from Crookes high street, where the venue is located. Above the door hangs a hand-painted Victorian sign bearing the name.

The sign was created for the venue by Sheffield-based artist Russ Young.

Arthur added: 'The local theme has been important to me throughout the build, for example using the local paint shop and hardware store instead of going to the big DIY sheds for materials.

'I've invested heavily in the handpainted Victorian sign from a local Sheffield artist, the super-talented Russ Young.'

For Arthur, the opening of the micropub is the reward for a patient three year wait.  

He said: 'We bought the venue from the previous tenants with the specific aim of setting up a micropub. We'd been on the lookout for a suitable location for three years before we got this venue. It's the middle of Crookes high street, so you can't miss it.'

The micropub, at 235 Crookes '“ the site of the former Ibercio Cafe '“ is open weekdays from 3pm until 11pm, Saturdays from 12pm until 11pm and Sundays from 12pm until 10:30pm.

For this weekend only, the micropub will be open from 5pm today, and 12pm tomorrow and Sunday. 

To celebrate the official opening, there will be entertainment from an Sheffield band, whose name has not been revealed, at the venue tomorrow from 3pm. 

Next week, the venue will be closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, but will re-open on Thursday, October 4,  when normal opening hours will resume.
