Thieves try to steal Sheffield man's scooter in rush-hour traffic

A man was injured after thieves tried to steal the scooter he was riding on a busy Sheffield road this morning.

The 44-year-old man was taken to hospital for an injury to his arm after two men assaulted him while trying to steal his vehicle on Hollinsend Road at around 8.25am today.

The man was on a scooter close to the traffic lights at the crossroads with Mansfield Road, next John Heath’s funeral home, when two men have pulled up in a blue car and attempted to take his bike.

Unable to steal the bike, they got back into the car, driving through the crossroads and up Hollybank Road towards Richmond.
