Four vans and a garage were broken into in an overnight crime wave in Dronfield.

The break-ins happened between 8pm on Tuesday and 7.30am yesterday.

In the early hours of yesterday three men broke into a Nissan Navara parked in Highfields Road and stole three drills.

In nearby Hilltop Road a garage was burgled and a drill was stolen.

Between 2.30am and 3am yesterday a Peugeot Partner and a Citroen Berlingo were damaged on Cemetery Road in the town.

Although nothing was taken from the Citroen, tools were taken from the Peugeot.

In Smithy Croft, Dronfield Woodhouse, the window of a Peugeot Partner van was smashed and the vehicle was searched but nothing was stolen.

In a separate burglary last month a garage in Cowley Lane, Holmesfield, was raided and a large range-type cooker, garden furniture and golf clubs were stolen.
