Thieves steal bonnet, headlights and front grille of car parked on Sheffield street

This was the scene which greeted one Sheffield car owner as she went to set off for work.

Thieves stole the bonnet, number plate, headlights and front grille of Angela Rowson's Mercedes-Benz CLA AMG while it was parked outside her Dore Road home overnight on Sunday.

Her son Tim Rowson said the thieves had caused at least £6,000 worth of damage.

He said: "We just woke up, had breakfast and then when my mum went out all of a sudden we realised the whole front end of the car had gone.

"We live next to Dore Masonic Hall and the CCTV footage they'd got wasn't the best but it showed three blokes pull up with a trailer.

"It showed a car come up at 10pm on Sunday night, another at 1am then they came back and did the car at about 2am."

Tim said he'd also spoken to a worker at nearby Mercia Motors who reported a Range Rover Evoque.
