Thieves prowling streets of Sheffield in hunt for power tools
Power tools have been stolen by thieves breaking into vehicles parked on Sheffield streets.
Overnight, tools were stolen from a van parked in Owlthorpe Lane, Mosborough, with police officers believing that a 'remote unlocker' may have been used to gain entry.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "To van owners or those who store power tools please ensure these are removed wherever possible from your vehicles.
"Whilst we appreciate the size, weight and quantity you may have often is the case they are left inside vehicles at the convenience of the owner, it can be very costly to have to replace just a couple of items let alone a van full of tools.
"Often is the case that those who take out tool cover on their insurance may only be covered up to a threshold limit and may have to fund the replacement of some items.
"Please lock vehicles when working on premises nearby and park on driveways and in sight of CCTV wherever possible. Ensure locks and alarms are working and mark up any belongings with black marker pen or UV marker pens with your house number, postcode and name."
