Thieves prowl streets of Sheffield looking for valuables in cars and vans

Over recent weeks parts were stolen from a van parked in Joshua Road, Nether Edge and tools were taken from a van in Whinfell Court, Whirlow.

Cash was stolen from a car parked in Cream Street, Highfield and number plates were taken from vehicles left in Ladysmith Avenue, Nether Edge and John Street, Highfield.

A man was arrested over the theft of wheels from a transit van parked in a vehicle rental compound in Queens Road.

Vehicle break-ins have also been reported in Helmton Road and Harbord Road, Woodseats; Lingfoot Crescent, Jordanthorpe; Stretton Road and Bluecoat Rise, Nether Edge; Manton Street and Bramall Lane, Highfield; Little Norton Lane, Norton and Middle Hay Rise and Blackstock Road, Gleadless Valley.
