Thieves prowl streets in Sheffield looking for homes to break into

They tried to break into a house in Chesterfield Road, Meersbrook, by attempting to force a door open.

An attempt was also made to force open a window to get into a property in Woodbank Crescent, Woodseats.

And there was also a failed attempt to steal a motorbike parked in Dobcroft Road, Millhouses.

All the incidents have been reported to South Yorkshire Police.

Witnesses to any of the incidents or anyone with information about those responsible or those who handle stolen goods in Sheffield should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
