Thieves hunted by police in Sheffield

Thieves are being hunted by police in Sheffield following a spate of vehicle break-ins across Sheffield.

Cars have been targeted while parked in Olive Grove Road, Lowfield; Lees Hall Avenue, Meersbrook; Overend Way, Gleadless Valley; Derbyshire Lane, Meersbrook and Underwood Road, Woodseats.

Police officers urge motorists to park in well lit places and to avoid leaving valuables in display to tempt thieves.

A thief is also being hunted after breaking into the Devonshire Arms, Dore, overnight on Monday into Tuesday.

A window was forced open to gain entry.

Witnesses to any of the break-ins or information on those responsible should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
