The theft of a mobility scooter from a Sheffield man has been branded 'despicable' by the police.
The machine was stolen from a 53-year-old man from Ecclesfield after somebody broke into his home and stole the keys.
The scooter was stored in an outhouse.
It was taken from Greaves Road overnight on Wednesday, July 15.
Sergeant Ryan Griffiths, from the Sheffield East Priority Crime Team, said: "The victim relies on his mobility vehicle to get around and its loss has had a significant impact on his quality of his life.
"Stealing a mobility vehicle is a despicable thing to do and I would appeal to the local community to contact police if they have any information around who may be responsible for this burglary.
"I would also appeal to anyone who may have been offered a mobility vehicle for sale in the last month to contact police."
Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
