I can relate to M Gough’s letter, in The Star, June 6, concerning the nuisance tree. I have complained via letters and telephone to the appropriate department regarding a tree that is outside my boundary, but just touching the fence, and it’s large branches fall into the garden along with autumn leaves and also my and neighbours’ telephone lines are regularly affected due to branches caught up in the wires.
According to the company concerned, they have cut some branches off. It must have been in the middle of the night and they must have used nail scissors as they don’t look like they’ve been touched.
They are a joke and if the branches get any closer to my bedroom window I will be able to prune them myself without a ladder.
