It was a busy month at the courts across South Yorkshire with a number of criminals put behind bars.

The courts dealt with a number of cases including murder, rape and drug offences. Here are some of the criminals locked up last month.

Jailed for 14 years and 9 months after admitting a catalogue of sexual offences against two young children.
Jailed for 12 years after being found guilty of raping two women in Doncaster.
Jailed for 12 months for breaking into a home and a butcher's shop.
Jailed for two-and-a-half-years for robbing a taxi dricer in Rotherham.
Jailed for 12 months for stalking his former partner and being in possession of a knife.
Jailed for 20 months for threatening to burn down The Office pub in Upperthorpe.
Jailed for three years possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, possession of Class B drugs, possession of a blade and biting a police officer.
Jailed for four-and-a-half years for after being found with large amounts of heroin and cocaine stashed in his flat.
Jailed for six-and-a-half years after pleading guilty to two counts of burglary and two counts of fraud.
Jailed for 18 years after being found guilty of seriously assaulting his neighbour with a dumbbell

Jailed for six years for sexual assault on a child. The offence took place in the Doncaster area.
Jailed for 11 years after admitting assaulting two men.
Tunney, of Stocksbridge Lane, Bentley, was jailed for six years. Varey, of East Lane, Doncaster, was jailed for nine years. Pannett, of Kirkhouse Green Road, Doncaster, was jailed for five years. Riley, of East lane, Doncaster, was jailed for six years. Cunningham, of Saint Michaels Drive, Thorne, was jailed for 20-months.
Sentenced to two years and eight months in prison after being found guilty of grievous bodily harm.
Jailed for six years after being found guilty of serious wounding with intent after stabbing his victim in the back with a knife.
Received an additional five-year jail sentence after being convicted of further child sexual exploitation offences in Rotherham. Wilkes was jailed for ten years in November 2015 for multiple offences committed against teenage girls in Rotherham.
Jailed for over six years after admitting possessing significant amounts of Class A drugs.
Jailed for four years after admitting robbery and theft offences in Sheffield. Baxter was involved in an armed robbery at the McColls shop on Lowedges Road on 2 December 2018.
Sentenced to life in prison, to serve a minimum of 22 years for the murder of 31-year-old Gavin Singleton.
Jailed for seven years for causing the death of an 88-year-old woman following a collision.
The two women werejailed for 12 months each for inflicting grievous bodily harm on a man they met in a pub, after he invited them back to his Sheffield home for a party.
