These are five of the best Mad Friday drinks deals in Sheffield

Mad Friday, as it is known, is the most popular night for festive parties as offices and factories close for the year.

Bars and clubs capitalise on the increased number of revellers on the streets by offering special deals on drinks. Here are five of the best in Sheffield on December 20, 2019.

Tank nightclub, on Arundel Gate, will have drinks for £2.50, while Corporation, on Milton Street, is holding its Christmas Drop – four rooms of alternative, disco, pop and urban music accompanied by offers such as a vodka and mixer for £1 before midnight, Jagermeister for £1.50, Jagerbombs for £2 and Red Stripe beer for £3.

Revolution, at the West One complex, is getting the celebrations under way early by giving people a free drink for bookings made before 6pm.

Mad Friday isn’t confined to the city centre, either.

The Horse and Jockey pub on Wadsley Lane is open from 1pm to 1am with two for £10 on cocktails and £12 for prosecco.

And The Riverside in Hillsborough is promising ‘amazing drinks deals all evening’.

Police have urged people to drink and behave responsibly to avoid finding themselves ‘in a police cell over the Christmas period’. Patrols will be stepped up in Sheffield on Mad Friday, which is customarily one of the most challenging nights of the year for the emergency services.
