The shopping centre is welcoming back six more of its restaurants following the easing of coronavirus lockdown restrictions.

This week both Zizzi and Tapas Revolution have reopened their doors, with Yo! Sushi and Carluccio’s due to follow next week. Las Iguanas and Frankie & Benny’s are also planning to welcome diners back before the end of the month, which will take the total number of eateries open at Meadowhall to 40.

The Eat Out to Help Out scheme is running every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday throughout August, and gives diners an automatic 50% discount on food or non-alcoholic drinks, up to a maximum of £10 per person, at all participating eateries.

Darren Pearce, centre director at Meadowhall, said: “Our restaurants and cafes have really picked up momentum in recent weeks and I know that the impact of Eat Out to Help Out Scheme has been overwhelmingly positive. It seems to be achieving exactly what we hoped it would, which is great news for everyone.

“We have also been able to extend the seating areas outside of our Oasis Dining Quarter meaning our customers have been able to make the most of the great weather we’ve been having.”
