REVELLERS braved the snow to attmed a ball for charity.
Around 250 of an expected 300 people turned out for the event at St Paul’s Hotel in Sheffield on Saturday night when wintry weather hit the city.
Joanne Palmer, of Crookes, organised the sell-out ball for the MS and Parkinson’s disease charities as part of her 50th birthday celebrations.
She said: “Despite the horrendous weather about 250 people managed to make it on Saturday which I think is an amazing and am so grateful to everyone.
“We had a fantastic time and the band, Highway Child were amazing.
“We raised just over £4,000 which, with the drop in numbers, surpassed my expectations.”
