BUSINESS dragon Theo Paphitis has handed a Sheffield language school a top award.

Berdale Centres, Bells Square, in the city centre, was given a small business certificate by Theo, a judge on TV show Dragons’ Den.

Staff at the firm had been personally invited by Theo to attend the awards, which the entrepeneur set up himself as a tool on Twitter.

Every Sunday, thousands of companies Tweet @TheoPaphitis and describe their business so he can choose his favourites to promote.

Dene Stockdale, co-founder of Berdale Centres, said: “We are delighted with this award.

“Hundreds of businesses have benefited from the Theo touch.

“This is an excellent opportunity to put Berdale Centres in Sheffield on the map.”

Firms Button Music in Doncaster and Revitalize Fit in Sheffield, as well as Tiny Gems & Buffer in Sheffield also received small business awards.
