Doddery OAP drivers could soon be offered refresher courses.
The aim is to make them more confident behind the wheel – and safer on the road.
Great idea – particularly as the number of elderly drivers is ever-increasing. Over 80 per cent of today’s drivers aged 60 to 69 are expected to motor on for another 20 years.
My mum, almost 81, still has a car but is getting too scared to drive it. A refresher course would definitely help.
But can we also have lessons in courtesy doled out to the impatient, rude roadhogs who scare her half to death every time she tootles to the post office?
