The return of Niche nightclub? Sheffield goes crazy as teasing new poster appears

A poster which appears to hint at the return of Niche nightclub in Sheffield has appeared in the city centre.

The poster, on the Parkway entrance, says simply 'Are you ready?' beside a logo for Niche nightclub.

The former club on Sidney Street, Sheffield, opened in 1992, quickly gaining popularity.

But the club was closed in 2005 following a police raid and its building was finally demolished earlier this year, after it had been empty for more than 10 years.

The i newsletter cut through the noise

The club was famed for its garage and drum and bass music.

Social media users have reacted with excitement.

Jodie Newton said: "Nah way is Niche opening back in Sheffield, that's gonna be mad"
