I would like to thank the police force in South Yorkshire for the totally outrageous amount of money spent on the number of police brought in from as far away as Northumberland for the games in Sheffield and Rotherham.
Being a Leeds season ticket-holder and living in Sheffield I have been to all Leeds away games this season and there have been far less police in attendance and not one single arrest for trouble.
My point is, it is my rates money they are spending.
Also why were all the police behind the goal when we scored twice? Isn’t that what the stewards are there for?
At Leeds the club and rate payers don’t pay the police, only inside the ground, and if this was the same in South Yorkshire, would there be the same number of police?
I very much doubt it .
