The cheek of the Lib Dems

Have your say

The Lib Dems have some cheek to claim they are heading up the campaign to open a Post Office on South Road in their latest Focus leaflet.

The Post Office campaign on South Road is a truly community effort. Their attempt to take credit is a slap in the face to the local community.

The campaign started when a local resident suggested the idea to Gary Levitt when he was considering opening up a new space in Levitt’s supermarket. This that led to discussions between him, Walkley Forum and Sheffield council.

Local people promoted the campaign and local businesses put petitions in their shops. Yes, councillors from both parties supported this but it was driven by Gary with a lot of support from residents and Walkley Forum.
