Have your say

I was really pleased to read your article regarding Deborah Gath and the Crohns MAP vaccine .

Thank you Sheffield Star for your support in raising awareness of this debilitating disease, that affects so many in such a variety of different ways.

My 10-year-old son was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease last year, aged nine . He has had two courses of steroids followed by Pentasa and now Azathiaprine. These drugs have such nasty side-effects, it’s a real scare for parents having to allow their children to take these.

Thanks to the work of Professor Hermon-Taylor and his team, the MAP vaccine is our only hope for a cure, for my son, as well as for others. I don’t want my son to have to go through 30 years of drugs etc, like Deborah and others have had to.

Once again thank you Deborah Gath and thank you to the Sheffield Star for raising the profile of this much- needed vaccine.
