Tennis club to make a racket

ASPIRING tennis players can learn more about the sport at an open day.

Ridgeway Tennis Club in Ridgeway near Sheffield is holding an event designed to encourage more people to pick up a racket what ever their age or ability.

The open morning takes place at the facility on Main Road on Sunday, March 24, between 10.30am and 12.30pm.

There will be discounted fees, along with a chance to tour the courts and chat to existing members.

Malcolm Harris, a committee member at Ridgeway Tennis Club, said: “It is a small, friendly club just five miles from Sheffield. It has access to three floodlit hard courts full time in the summer and at weekends in the winter, and welcomes players of all standards including complete beginners.”
