Bus companies have altered their routes to avoid the lights, with the Sheffield-bound 120 service from Fulwood operating via Broomhill, Whitham Road, Clarkson Street, Durham Road and Glossop Road.

Passengers travelling to the city hospitals around Broomhill are advised to get off at Sheffield Children's Hospital or Weston Park Hospital to avoid Glossop Road.

The 51 and 52a services for Broomhill are delayed by over 20 minutes.
