Telephone helpline for Rotherham people struggling to beat the booze

A telephone service has been set up for Rotherham people struggling to cut back on their alcohol consumption.

Rotherham Alcohol Service, which is run by the Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust, has set up a single point of access telephone number for anyone wanting a confidential chat.

Service Manager Matt Pollard said: “There’s been a huge amount of publicity around Dry January this year, but now that’s been and gone, people may still need that extra bit of support to make changes to their drinking habits. “Cutting down on your alcohol intake can benefit your health in a variety of ways such as weight loss, better sleep, more energy and clearer skin.”

Call 01709 447210 for a confidential chat.
