Teenager robs boy, 11 of bicycle

POLICE are hunting a teenage boy who knocked a youngster off his bike and rode off on it.

He struck in Graves Park as his 11-year-old victim was cycling through Graves Park towards the Pavilion on Cobnar Road, Woodseats.

The teenage robber, aged around 14 or 15, asked his victim if he could borrow his black mountain bike – which had white/silver skulls on it and skull and crossbones dust caps – before pushing him off and riding away towards the park cafe.

Officers say the park would have been busy at the time because of Graves Park funfair.

The robber was white, thin and had short, spiky blond hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts and a thin gold chain.

Anyone with information about the attack, at 4.20pm last Saturday, should call DC Vanessa Gooseman at the Ecclesfield Robbery Unit on 0114 2963960 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
