A Sheffield teenager is reportedly in intensive care after being "stabbed and stamped on" during a mass brawl in Sheffield last night.

The 19-year-old was said to be attacked by a group of "20-30 teenagers" before being stabbed in the "back of the neck".

A Sheffield woman said that the teenager is currently in intensive care with injuries to his groin after being "stamped on numerous times".

She said that the teenager suffered the serious after being "jumped" by around 20-30 teenagers.

A 14-year-old who is also understood to have been stabbed, was treated in hospital for his injuries, but has since been released.

The brawl reportedly took place between two groups of teenagers near to Hunters Bar roundabout last night.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman told The Star they have now linked the brawl to a hit-and-run collision that took place in Hillsborough last night, but said they could not release any further information at this time.

Parts of Ecclesall Road were cordoned off for several hours last night, following the incident. Police are urging anyone with information to call 101.
