A teenage girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Sheffield.

The 16-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man, who was also seriously hurt, were both passengers in a black Volkswagen Polo which crashed on Friday, March 24.

A 17-year-old boy , who was driving the car, suffered minor injuries.

All three casualties have since been discharged from hospital.

The car crashed into a wall close to the entrance to the Scout Camp in White Lane, Chapeltown, at 9.55pm.

Officers investigating believe that a red Ford Fiesta was travelling behind the Polo before the collision and that the Polo may have collided with a silver vehicle shortly beforehand.

The Polo was travelling away from Chapeltown towards Barnsley.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
