Teenage girl injured in collision outside Sheffield school

A teenage girl suffered a broken leg and a head injury in a collision outside a Sheffield school.

The 14-year-old was involved in a collision outside Ecclesfield School, Chapeltown Road, at 3.40pm yesterday.

An air ambulance was scrambled to the scene.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “A 14-year-old girl suffered a broken leg and a head injury - non-life threatening - having been a pedestrian in a road traffic collision on Chapeltown Road, outside Ecclesfield School.
