Teenage boy robbed in South Yorkshire park

A teenage boy had his mobile phone stolen in a robbery in a South Yorkshire park.

The 17-year-old was targeted by two other teens, who tried to start a conversation with him before threatening him and stealing his phone.

South Yorkshire Police said the robbery, in Clifton Park, happened at 10.15pm on Sunday, October 30.

One of the robbers was Asian, arouns 5ft 9ins tall, in his late teens, slim and had a black moustache.

He is thought to have been wearing a white hooded top.

The other was also Asian, about 5ft 4ins tall, in his mid-teens, slim and had short, black hair.

He spoke with a high-pitched voice and was wearing a black, hooded puffa jacket.

PC Susannah Taylor, investigating the incident, said: “I’d like to ask anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw what happened to contact us.

“This incident happened fairly late at night and I’d like to remind people to be vigilant and aware of their surroundings.

“If you think you know who either of the two boys described could be, please call us."
