He told South Yorkshire Police he was in the car park of Clifton Park Museum, Clifton Lane, when he was targeted at 6.55pm on Wednesday, May 11.

His phone - a Samsung Desire with light blue sides - was stolen after he was attacked.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "The suspect is described as being around 16-years-old and around 6ft tall.

"He was reportedly wearing a dark green jacket with fake brown leather shoulders and a black T-shirt, over dark jeans.

"He is also described as having dark hair, which was shaved and short on the sides but long on top and swept back over his head.

"Despite extensive enquiries in the local community and a review of CCTV footage, the suspect has not been identified.

"Did you witness the assault? Do you recognise the male in the E-fit image?"

Officers believe the youth in the CCTV image could hold vital information about the incident.

Anyone with information on the raid or the youth in the CCTV should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
