Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the collision, which happened just before 5pm.

Meanwhile, tributes have continued to flood in for Summer, described as ‘caring’ with a ‘lovely sense of humour’ by Bradfield School, where she was a pupil.

The school posted on its website: “It is with great sadness that Bradfield School shares the news of the death of Summer Seymour, one of our year 11 students.

“Summer always had a smile on her face. She had a lovely sense of humour and often made staff laugh.

“Her caring personality meant that she was always keen to help out younger members of her form.

“Only last week she was working hard on her mock GCSE exams and we are all now so sad that she can’t realise her bright future.

“Our condolences and thoughts go out to her family and friends at this time.”
