Teenage biker seriously injured after road smash

A teenage motorcyclist was seriously injured after crashing in Sheffield.

The 19-year-old was riding a black V1 Honda motorcycle up Granville Road, in the direction of City Road, at around 1.25am on Sunday when he lost control of the bike.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said the bike struck a kerb and two parked cars.

The motorcyclist, who is from Gleadless, Sheffield, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Northern General Hospital.

n Witnesses, or anyone who saw the manner of driving prior to the collision, is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 102 of November 17.
