Teenage biker fights for life

A TEENAGE motorcyclist was left fighting for life after a collision with a car in South Yorkshire.

The 17-year-old was injured as he pulled out of Nursery Drive, Catcliffe, into the path of a Volkswagen Golf travelling along New Brinsworth Road.

Police said the biker was thrown from his machine and landed in the road - suffering head, leg and arm injuries.

The teeanger was rushed to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield.

The driver of the Golf, a 21-year-old man, from Brinsworth, escaped unharmed.

His passenger, a 23-year-old woman, also from Brinsworth, suffered minor cuts.
