A 13-year-old boy was taken to hospital after colliding with a car.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident that happened at around 5.05pm on Friday October 3.

A red Toyota Yaris was travelling along the A18 Thorne Road towards Doncaster.

At the junction of Edenfield Road in Edenthorpe, it is believed that the Yaris was in collision with a 13-year-old boy.

The teenager was taken to hospital to be treated for cuts and bruises, which are not thought to be serious.

The 65-year-old man driving the Yaris sustained minor injuries.
