Tasty treats for city homeless

Have your say

LEFTOVER sandwiches from a Sheffield shop have been donated to help the city’s homeless community.

Nosh, based on Division Street, has been giving the food each day to the Cathedral Archer Project.

Andy Parfrement, centre manager at the Cathedral Archer Project, said: “The sandwiches are a lifeline for many of our clients who do not have access to food after they leave here until the next day.

“We speak to Nosh every morning to see if they have sandwiches for us to collect, and a volunteer goes to fetch them.”

A Nosh spokesman said: “Reducing the amount of waste heading to the already overflowing landfills is something we think more businesses should be doing to help the local community.”
