TAKEAWAY TEST: Parthenonas

As a vegetarian, sometimes I can find it hard to find a takeway that offers multiple choices, but at Parthenonas I was pleased to find I was spoilt for choice.

I had the hallomi starter as I am a big cheese fan, followed by the vegetable moussaka. The hallomi was grilled perfectly and the moussaka was comforting, with layers of potatoes, aubergines, feta cheese and a generous helping of bechamel sauce.

I also had a side order of Greek lemon potatoes, which had just the right balance of flavours. I decided to try the tiropita too, a Greek pie with feta cheese and bechamel sauce in filo pastry. It was a little salty for my taste, but still enjoyable. There was enough food for two meals. The cost was £15.50.
