Take the train from Sheffield to station’s first Christmas shopping party

For one night only - Wednesday, December 11, 6pm to 10pm - St Pancras International is holding the event in its on-site mall, which has become a destination in its own right and in 2018 recorded a 6.3 per cent year-on-year increase in retail sales.

Participating brands next week include Kate Spade, MAC cosmetics and Aspinal of London.

Those perusing the shelves can enjoy free bubbles and Indian head massages at the Eye Candy beauty bar, and complimentary wine-tasting sessions at luxury store Fortnum & Mason. Neal's Yard Remedies will be offering free hand massages at a pop-up store and free glasses of mulled wine are being offered from the station’s gastropub, The Betjeman Arms.

GANT is giving shoppers who spend £200 a free weekend bag worth £65, while florist Moyses Stevens is offering 30 per cent off on Christmas bouquets.

In addition, St Pancras International is offering one lucky shopper the chance to win a Christmas shopping spree, with a £500 gift card giveaway. People simply need to find the life-size Instagram frames dotted throughout the station, follow @stpancrasinternational and pose for a picture, tagging @stpancrasinternational using #TogetherAtStPancras.

St Pancras is the London terminus of the Midland Mainline, with direct services running throughout the day from Sheffield railway station. The last train back is at 10.22pm – meaning shoppers needn’t miss a thing.

If you can’t make it on the night, don’t worry, we’re open every day right up until Christmas Eve, so you won’t miss out.”

Throughout December visitors can sip on seasonal cocktails at Searcys Champagne Bar, tackle the ultimate ‘Christmas dinner burger’ at Prime Burger and marvel at a light show - taking place every hour, on the hour, from Lancôme’s 36-foot sparkling installation on the concourse inspired by the Eiffel Tower.
