ANIMAL carers in Sheffield are is inviting local people to join them on a dog walk with a difference.

The RSPCA Sheffield Animal Centre, Stadium Way, Attercliffe, needs people and their pooches to take part in a sponsored dog walk on Sunday, May 20, to raise money for it.

The walk starts and finishes at Woodhead Road car park, Grenoside.

Registration is at the car park between 10am and 11am.

Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Tony Benham, RSPCA Sheffield branch animal care manager, said: “A fantastic walk has been plotted out by one of our volunteers Amanda Gavey which is just more than five miles long and which takes in the picturesque Wharncliffe Woods.

“It is an enjoyable walk with a chance to socialise at the same time as giving your dog a wonderful new walking experience.”
