Suspected arson attack on stolen car in Sheffield

A stolen car was set on fire in Sheffield in the early hours of this morning.

Firefighters from Elm Lane fire station were called out to Dryden Road in Southey Green at about 3.45am this morning.

A spokesman for the fire service said the car involved was a Nissan Micra which had been reported stolen to the police a couple of days ago.

Firefighters spent about 45 minutes dealing with the fire, with police also called to the scene.

No one was hurt in the incident.
