Survey shows Sheffield folk own most xmas jumpers

Sheffield residents own more Christmas jumpers than anyone else, with 69 per cent of residents getting their hands on some form of novelty knitwear - according to research conducted by online clothing retailer Banana Moon.

The survey revealed we Brits have purchased over 81,000,000 Christmas jumpers, and spent an estimated £1.7 billion pounds, on festive jumpers.

The survey of 1000 UK residents also revealed that 75 per cent of the population now own a Christmas jumper, with the average person owning three. Sheffield, Manchester and Southampton are the cities that own the most Christmas jumpers, while it was revealed that 49 per cent of men own a festive knit, compared to just 34 per cent of women.

Snowmen and reindeer designs are most popular.
