Two men have been charged after violence flared following the Rotherham versus Bradford football match.

A Bradford fan walking with his six-year-old son on Corporation Street sustained a serious head injury when he was assaulted by Rotherham fans on Saturday, November 9.

A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray.

Boys of 15 and 17 and two 21-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and bailed.

Following disorder inside the stadium one man has appeared at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court charged with a public order offence and assaulting a PC. A man is also due before magistrates on December 24 charged with throwing a missile.

Another man was given a fixed penalty notice for a public order offence.
