GO Superfoods Ltd of Dinnington has won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise - the UK’s highest accolade for business success - for exporting its premium products around the world.

Founded by in 2009 by Hardip Singh after completing an MBA, he chose the superfood sector due to personal interest, the growth potential and the opportunity to work with producers from around the world.

It paid off. Today the firm employs 23 and won a Queen’s Award for outstanding overseas sales growth which saw turnover almost quadruple in the three-year award period.

Judges also found a ‘well segmented’ marketing strategy, and countries chosen based on where the firm could effectively compete.

The company, based on Redwood Court, Campbell Way, trades as Green Origins and Rainforest Foods.

It was one of seven from South Yorkshire - and just 254 nationally - that won a Queen’s Award on Her Majesty’s 90th birthday, last month.

Business Secretary Sajid Javid said: “The Queen’s Awards are a great way of celebrating the best of British business.

“Whether you’re a disruptive start-up making life easier for your customers or a large company with a blockbuster product, these awards recognise your contribution to enterprise.”

The other winners were The Floow, 3Squared and AESSEAL, which won for innovation, Highfield International, Polypipe and Gripple won for export.
