A new sleep study has revealed that becoming an Olympian, like Jessica Ennis-Hill, ranks among the most popular dreams being had by Sheffield children - along with being an astronaut like Tim Peake and an internet tycoon like Mark Zuckerberg.

The study was conducted by Travelodge and surveyed 1,500 children across the city aged between eight and fifteen years old. The study also found that Sheffield children get an average of eight hours sleep a night, which is less than the recommended amount and, perhaps as a result, 74 per cent reported they were often tired and found it difficult to concentrate at school. 52 per cent said they do not follow a bed-time routine and don’t go to bed at the same time every night.
