College students have raised more than £1,500 for charity through a series of fundraising activities.
The activities, run by Barnsley College students’ union, have included challenges, a Barnsley College Harlem Shake for Red Nose Day and Wear it Pink Day for Breast Cancer.
The total raised now stands at £1,600 and will be used to support various charities.
Matthew Cunningham, students’ union sabbatical officer, said: “The progress our learners have made since the start of the year is phenomenal – with both personal achievements and with the amount of money they have raised.
“The work they have done alongside their studies is inspiring and they are now close to hitting their £2,000 fundraising target for the year.”
